Called HD factory and came to the conclusion that the GPS may be totally worthless but the rest of the bike seems revalent.

Welcome from the Windy City Chicago.

 :soapbox:
The GPS is, indeed, just about worthless.  No moving map, does not let you put in an actual street number to nav too, you can't get database updates, you have to keep the NAV CD in the radio, you can't upload/download to it, you can't put multiple points in for one route, etc.  It is better than nothing, but only by a small margin.  It will help you stay on the right major roads on a trip, it is built into the instrument panel and it has a compass.

Welcome from western NY!

As Jim Kerr and LRebel stated.  The GPS will at least keep you from getting lost.  It only works with the Nav CD in the CD player.  Set it up in your driveway and store that point as "Home".  One fun way to use it is to pick a town you want to ride to and select POI's.  Find a restaurant that sounds like a good lunch stop and take every road you've never been on before to get there.  It'll keep rerouting you and as the mileage to destination keeps getting smaller you know you are getting closer.  It allows you to explore without getting lost.  I swear the voice is going to start cursing at me sometimes.
