Engine life

Hi guys , Just wondering how many miles before a 110 needs to be rebuilt . Assuming all maintenance is done regularly and the bike is not abused .    Thanks Billy

If it is a well built motor like the 103's were you should have no trouble getting 100k out of your motor. Some will say more but you should be able to count on that. The problem you may have is you have the dreaded 110 motor. The jury is still out on that.

From experience, both of my 110's (same bike is key here) have had major issues at under 5000 miles.

i came up with a little list of my own nightmares for your entertainment...so here it goes...

serk3 built august 06:

1. july 07 inside of rear tire ripped to shreds
2. aug 07 oil leaks at all gaskets (dealer kept it 4 weeks)
3. sept 07 broken throttle cable
4. sept 07 broken hydraulic clutch
5. jully 08 chrome peeling off rear wheel
6. july 08 oil leaks at all gaskets (dealer kept it 4 weeks)
7. sept 08 oil leaks at all gaskets (dealer kept it 6 days)

any questions? :nixweiss:

oh...of course, bought brand new...scoot now has 15,500 miles on it...

Annually if you ride at Hoist Speed.

When we couldn't get premium gas in MV, we added "Liquid Howie" to the tank.  Ran great!

The clowns at the MoCo who are responsible for the CVO110 should get life, with no possibility of parole.  JMHO of course.
