Just a little under 300 miles since I switched the tranny and primary over to redline.
It is a toss up as to the single greatest upgrade so far.
Redline shockproof heavy in the tranny or removal of the cc.
Both are at the top of the my "items to do list" for 09 CVO owners.
Whine in fifth is nearly gone, I can still hear it but it is so slight now I have more than once had to accelerate and listen to make sure I was in fifth.
The cat gone...may be all in my head...but it sure seems to run better and cooler.  I can now hear the exhaust in the mufflers, before it seemed as if the only noise was from the motor and suction at the throttle body.
Just my 2cents

Inverse constipation.  110

Well after two days of ownership of a 2009 SEUC I have a few thoughts and opinions about the bike.
If you own one tell us what you think of it!

Good Stuff                                      (disclaimer, remember this is from a guy that hasn't had an Ultra in 10 years)

 1 )  Great paint!
 2 )  Very comfortable seat.
3 )  It came with a decent windshield.
4 )  Stereo sounds very good.
 5 )  XM is great.
 6 )  Handles really good.
7 )  Lean angle lets you lay it over in curves.
8 )  110 is all corked up but seems to have potential!
9 )  Power locks are cool!
10 ) 6th gear at 3K seems to be right at 80 mph. Very cool!
11 ) Did I mention it has great paint?
12 ) List to be continued............

Stuff I'm not happy with.

1 ) New frame, new tires, bike sits higher, , , , same old kick stand! The bike leans over to far on the stock stand.
2 ) New seat spreads legs out and makes being flatfooted difficult.
3 ) New seat sits well but actual material seems and appears a little cheap.
 4 ) No pipes for 09's, , , , ,,   soon I hope.
 5 ) 110 is corked up.
6 ) Motor is noisy, that could change with more exhaust sound.
7 ) A bike that MSRP's for 35,499 should have included the rear rack light!
 8 ) Won't outrun Ken's 120, well not yet anyway!
9 ) Some beach is heavy!
10 ) To be continued............

Let us know your impression about your 09 SEUC!

I saw the upgrade kickstand part today.
Was told it was a wedge or shim.
It's neither.
It is a whole new assembly where the area where the kickstand rest against is wider.
I will have some pictures Wednesday.
These are hot off the press and were made last week.
But how, when or why matters not to me, I just know it will be done Wednesday.

And FYI,
My saddlebag spoilers also came in today and will be installed Wednesday!
Hopefully that will be plenty of light on the rear.

Chip,

What is the part number on the Luggage Rack Brake light? Do you have a link on the new kickstand?

Thanks,

Rob

Sorry old pal...I am liking it...not the current slappy, whinning, constipated version, it sounds bad, as in crummy.
It will get better, still a barge, but doesn't feel like the tired old ultrabeast I rented in Chicago.
You'll see when you ride it after you take Binxie down the this winter for a short weekend at

 http://www.cranesbeachhouse.com/index.php

It has been 10 years since I last rode a stock hd..The 03 had a 95 kit, the 05 same, 07 serk delivered with slippy's, a/c, download.

Ran nice on its first highway run...90-100mph smooth and steady, crummy fuel mileage, almost didn't make it off Alligator Alley.
Took easy backroad home 50-80, much better mileage, has 1/4 tank left...Slight sore back , not bad..270 miles
