the case in the pic is definitely sportster style...a lot of racers refer to them as "four cam" motors

Howie Heres something else you might think of, not sure if you saw this yet but these new batteries are 5 pounds compared to 50 smaller size can be mounted upside down if you like and last for about 10 years. A little pricy but if you consider how many regular batteries you would go through during the same time frame it's not that much more.

http://www.tekbattery.com/

Looked at their website. When you say a little pricey you meant pricey. The model for the "MAX BAGGER" was $2200.00. Damn how many batteries do I need to go through to pay for that one. It did have 1200 cranking amps though. That's more amps then my Powerstroke Batteries which are 850 each.

You can go with a smaller battery to have slightly higher cranking amps than the original battery this will bring the cost down.

B B

Yes about a 150 - 175" 60 degree 4 cam type but this baby won't fit in a sportster frame you can buy one from PRP at http://www.proracingproducts.ca/homepage.htm

Personally I like the 126 S&S shorter stroke larger bore better rod angle. http://www.starracing.com/vspecials.php

Dyno runs have the 126 making over 150 rear wheel horsepower & it delivers the most torque of any engine in its class - over 145 ft. lbs. These 4-3/8" bore engines have similar general specifications to the original S&S Tribute 145 engines, but the new G Squared 126 is a dual cam design combined with big valve B2 heads for ultimate performance.

For the rider who tours from sunup to sundown, the 126 delivers the massive horsepower you crave, in an engine that bolts directly into stock chassis from 1999 and up, and is available with an S&S G or D carburetor or Fuel Injection. The 126 is offered exclusively through G2 Motorsports and its dealer network and are NOW IN STOCK.

You mean '99-'06 except Dyna. It won't work on '06 Dyna or '07's and up. ;)

Well, you can put the motor in if you change the tranny, inner and outer primary, all the guts and the starter! The mating system (engine to trans) is different. And patented up the ass to keep the aftermarket from providing engines for our bikes!!! FTF!!! ;)

This thing ain't been able to stay together on gasoline! No NOS, Supercharger, Turbocharger or anything else is going on it! I'll be very happy with this motor holding together on gas for 50,000 miles first!!! :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss: ;D ;)

so with a drill and a welder you should be able to make anything fit. I bet a call to G2 and they might even tell you whats in the works. Ok so then you go with the 126 then a Baker torque box tranny the baker KKK Klutch inner and outer primary then your set, end of problem.

I notice you didn't provide the total price to change out all this stuff. You're right, ANYTHING can be done. But what's cost effective and what's not is the key! ;)
