Thanks for that astute observation.

He gives us a deal on the axle and the cap, and I thought we third to support people on the site, I guess not. :confused5:

Anyway like B B said the hidden axle looks great, much cleaner.

Not so astute Talon. There's a bunch of us in the business on the site

hd_dude has been using folks on the site right for quite some time for one

I would suggest anyone needing parts etc check out the vendor section

I'd like to relocate the front fender, move it back a half inch or so and down until I have just enough room to clear the tire adequately. It'll also get rid of the rivets. Not to cost effective on the CVO paint, but my fender is just black.

I agree, I had bought this setup from Puzzled, and was just throwing that out there. hd_dude's is a great asset to the site. I think anyone getting uptight should check out the beer thread. :P

Take two sections of 1" tubing or something similar and tape them to the tire. Set the fender down onto the tire with the tubing as a spacer and align the lower side of the front of the fender so it is parallel to the ground. Mark where the bosses on the lower legs meet up with the fender and drill the four holes. You can use spacers vice a brkt for a nice clean look. Make sure you either use lockwashers and locktite or the factory clips so the bolts can't back out. Looks cool if done right. Good luck

I've already made a template of what the new bracket should look like, they say if I spray the inside of the bracket and the inside of the fender with weldable primer I shouldn't have any rust issues after the welding. Is weldable a word???  ;D

P.S. Yea the stock location sits up on the front of the fender, I am going to bring that level as B.B. said, much cleaner.

Anyone got one of those Scrabble cheat minicomputers ?  My take is that if it can be welded then it's weldable. Good word in my book.

Heres a Picture of the bike..As you can see the wheel up front is the only one I installed.Keeping the factory wheel on the back.. Maybe another 1400 dollars i can do the rear..But for now the rear wheel is hidden and you cant see it that well.

I never ceased to be amazed at what a few changes in the right places can do for a Road King's individuality. I've owned two 03 SERKs and seen almost every one ever built in the past 5 years and still I will see a bike or a picture of one like yours that is striking in how classic it is. In my opinion, the larger front wheel lifts the nose of the bike perfectly with the rear wheel stock. The attitude of the bike now changes it's appearance (100% for the better) and I'm sure helps a bit with the way a stock SERK will dive into a sharp corner. As stated before, your choice of seat is excellant for that bike and everything you've done just hangs together very very well. Just my opinion of course, but I'd stop making any changes right now. It's perfect the way it is. Great job
