Speakers???
« on: July 25, 2005, 08:39:43 AM »

I need to replace the speakers on my SE Road Glide.   Can anyone recommend a good pair -- good meaning ability to play loudly with too much distortion.

A link to a web site would be good as well.

Hogtunes?  We (CVO webbies) did get 10% off.  Southeast, MA huh?  Me too...I work in Newport but live in berkley...unfortunately, you won't see me riding at the moment, both CVOs are in the shop.  You may see someone ridin' a Rebel 250 from the back seat...that be me!

Thanks for the info -

Berkley?   Actually I live in Lakeville -- make sure you let me know when you're riding again -- maybe we can ride to the Hen House for a few cold ones.

Sounds good...can you imagine the Chit I would get at the Hen house if i showed up on a 1986 Rebel!!!

Also,  if you want to do see the Hogtunes in person some night this week, I have not installed the latest set with my throttle cable snapping.  He!!, if you wanted to remove your fairing at my house you could test them out...PM me if interested.

Steve, I just put in my Hog Tunes, and you will be impressed with the gain in performance.  They have a speaker magnet that is about 4 times larger than the upgraded speakers from HD.  Much more efficient, thus allowing you to play your stereo in the "sweet spot" without having to crank up the volume to the distortion level.
Drop PEZ a line, and get the info.  They seem to be the best buy from what I have seen on the market. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I second that recommendation for the hogtunes speakers.  Excellent value , at any price, and very inexpensive to boot!  (Not to mention the extremely high level of customer service provided....)   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Steve,

I live in SE Mass also.  I'm in Norwell, and I like to ride out through Middleboro and Lakeville.

I've got Hogtunes in my 03 Ultra and my 05 SEEG.  I'd be happy to hook up and see what you think of them.  I also have the MP3 on both bikes.  Couldn't be happier.
