Relocating 2009 Road Glide Floorboards. (up and back)
« on: October 07, 2008, 07:06:28 PM »

Just drove home my 09 FLTRSE in Yellow Pearl!  It's beautiful, but I can't reach anything!  Granted I'm short at 5'6", but damm!  You must have to be 6 foot plus to be comfortable.  I need to move the floorboards up and back, get a "close" seat, put on "reach bars" and get a shorter front gear shift lever and a shorter rear brake peddle.

The 2008 and earlier FL frame had three holes in it that allowed the rider floor boards to be moved up  ( I did this on my 07 Road King) but the new 09 frame has eliminated this capability.  A web search shows lots of options for relocating the PASSENGER floor boards, but nothing seems to be available to bring the rider floorboards up and back.

Has anyone got any (constructive) suggestions?  I can't change the length of my arms or legs.

After spending this kind of money, it is going to be a real shame to have to replace all this chromed billet stuff I just paid through the nose for.... Oh well!

Thanks all!

Kym, welcome to the site and congrats on the SERG!  You may have to have something made of your own or wait for the aftermarket to come up with something.  I was going to say raise them up but you already found out you couldn't on the new frame.  Good luck and enjoy your new bike.

Kym, try this one out.  It will raise them a little bit, but not back.  Good Luck.
