Build date and 0906 enhancement program

I'm interested in a 2008 Se Dyna and wondering if a build date after May 14, 2008 would be safe from the gasket and oil leak problem. Since "THE LETTER" states that up to that date is involved in the enhancement program. Thanks for any feed back

Does anyone have a 110 engine built after 5/14/08 that is supposed to be updated and is without all of the associated problems of the earlier builds. Your help is appreciated as I want to pull the trigger on a 2008 FXDSE built after 5/14/08 to hopefully avoid issues.

These enhancements are fixing the symptoms, not the root cause.  And unless you have an Ultra, you only get part of the treatment.

Anyone who is interested to learn, if a specific bike is part of the program, should visit the hd.com site, and select "OWNERS" and "SERVICE CHECK-UP". Enter the VIN# and presto, you have the results regarding any recall or campaign.

Thanks for replies but I'm asking about 110 engines built after 5/14/08 that are not part of the program.
Question being are these engines free of the problems, if anyone has a late 2008 with any miles on it.

It is too soon from the mileage standpoint, basically.

When more than a few of these reach 20k or so it might be a good indicator.

If your bike is not part of the campaign, just ride and be happy. If you'd be happier riding a bike with a pre-campaign 110 engine, I am sure many here on this site would trade ;-).
