Heard a rumor today

An unidentified source told me today that a certain H-D dealer we all enjoy bashing for selling CVO's for $5-$6k over MSRP is a convicted felon and H-D Inc has a rule that a convicted felon CANNOT own one of it's dealerships. Therefore, the obvious is that this person we all love to hate is in actuality NOT a dealer.

The point is, he never was a dealer in the sense of his name being listed on the paperwork as such. He operates somehow on the same plane as Robert DiNero's character in Casino I guess. On another note, FYI, the MoCo only allowes any one individual to me majority owner in three dealerships. This I know for fact considering the source I got it from ( a friend who currrently owns two and is looking to buy a third)

However, I heard the one of the lowest performing Dealerships in the country is in Boston.

Another tidbit of information on the fine gentleman, before becoming a HD dealer he had a Chrysler Dealership. Chrysler took away his dealership for the massive number of complaints that included many different forms of fraud including a constant practice of rolling back odometers. The rumor in Florida was he pulled every dirty trick in the book as a used car dealer.

Can't say out loud, might be considered slander or something of that nature.

Let's just say some folks heading to the sunshine state consider his flagship dealership to be a "destination"
