05 Clutch line problem's
« on: July 30, 2005, 04:25:53 PM »

Check your line where it comes out from under the motor, mine has rubbed on the transmission housing and worn into the stainless part of the line. Their was also another 05 at the dealer today with the same problem.

Speaking of things to check. Check your exhaust mounting bolts. Came home from a long day ride last weekend to find out two bad things. The bolt holding the the exhaust to the clamp above the starter was completely gone. Secondly, one of the washers mounting the exhaust to the rear cylinder was gone. It was an easy fix but I was amazed. Bottom line, check and re-check everything. Thanks for the notice jimp!  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Laker, Thanks for the heads up.  I just check mine, and wouldn't you know.  My rear exhaust bracket bolt above the starter was loose, header bolt OK.  Got to keep an eye on these bolts in the future.  Thx much!
