Hello from Puyallup
« on: October 14, 2008, 04:57:42 PM »

Just bought an 08 SE2 Dyna.  Anni. colors.  The bike had 300 miles on it.  After reading through the posts on the 110 motor I now know why the previous owner traded it off.  This is my 6th Harley, actually, 3rd for me,  my wife rides also and anytime I get a new bike so does she (6 total).  The weather here affords lots of time to "work" on the bike.  I'm from a small burg 30 miles south of Seattle called Puyallup.  With all of the six bikes I've worked on (small easy wrench jobs) this is my first experience with a "smart siren".  I live in a small 55+ community and my garage is 3 feet from my neighbors bedroom window.  The other night I stood my bike up without the fob near by and set the siren off, took 3 min to find the fob, by then the neighbor was over in his jammies screaming "turn that damn thing off!!!!!!".  So sorry Ray!!!!  Go back to sleep.  Won't happen again.  Yep, the next night I made sure to grab the fob before standing the bike up and what the #@$%, it went off again, had my wife's fob not mine.  Damn.  Decided to pull the battery in the siren, pulled the maxi fuse, yikes, there is goes again.  Damn.  Decided to read the instructions.  OK, got the siren out and unplugged, it will only go back in if I can get the battery out of it.  I assume I need the siren to put the plug in so it's out of the weather, right?  Anyway, when I pulled the electrical caddy out a wire fell out, it's not the siren wire it's another one.  I have no idea what it's for or where it goes.  I'll include a photo, any help would be greatly appreciated.  The clouds are parting and there is a hint of sun, I wanna ride.

Welcome from Lake Stevens.

Hopefully someone with a newer bike gets on and has your info.

In the meantime glad to have another neighbor here.  :2vrolijk_21:

Hi Mike,
Lived in Myrtle Beach for a few months last year.  Big bugs (B52's).  Had to use my windshield.  I'm from Washington State where everyone thinks they know about rain, I'm here to tell ya, South Carolina has RAIN by the bucket loads!

Gary,  :welcome_005: to the greatest family you will ever know. While your checking out things here please look at the Events Chatter section and the Pacific Northwest Tour. In your backyard, and I can Guaranty you will have a great time.
Also, guard your wallet! Just when you thought you got a bike with everything these folks will find MANY goodies you will have to have.
Sorry,  Dave
