New cam '09 110?

In '08, our 110's advertised 115 ft-lbs of torque @ 3000 rpm.  In '09, the literature says 113 @ 3750rpm.  That sounds like a different cam to me.  Anyone know what cam is in the '09 110?

Maybe if they dyno'd the 08's at 3750rpm, they would lose 2 ft. lbs. of torque and match the 09's... :nixweiss:

No, that wasn't it Scott.  In 08 the dyno was pointed slightly uphill so the bike couldn't pull any farther.




(that was even less help wasn't it?)

Yeah, that's it.  Elevation is technical (damn, wish I'd thought of that before).

Don't believe anything I say but I do believe the 09 110's have a lower compression ratio than the earlier 110 engines. If I'm right could this be the difference in torque?

I suppose that's possible, but I would think the loss would be at 3000rpm.  The 113 @ 3750 suggests to me that a different cam was used.  The compression ratio change is only 0.15; pretty small.

Same cam. Changes in the exhaust resulted in a little less torque.  Yet the Road Glides are still advertising 115lbs.THE MUFFMAN

Yes, um... no....  The higher you get the better lookin....  Oh, wait, that's different.


And anyway, the difference in the spec cited is so small as to be within the margin of error.  For that matter really could be elevation.  Thousand foot difference in the dyno chambers since we don't have a clue about correction factors.  In other words no one knows enough to even know what they don't know about the comparison.
