Locating the Accessory Plug on an 08 SEUltra
« on: October 21, 2008, 09:01:44 AM »

Trying to find the accessory plug that is connected to the dash switch. Looked under the seat. Didn't see any plugs, only the seat plug. Under the left side cover there is a plug with a rubber cover on it below the fuse box. Is that it? Thanks

The one on the LH side is the hookup for the DT.  The one you're looking for should be in front of the battery.  Could be down in the hole there.  The other possiblity is that your seat is already plugged into it.  The was the case with mine.  The plug for my seat was buried behind the battery (had to pull the battery completely out to get to it).

I am assuming there is a plug down there somewhere in front of the battery in addition to the seat heater plug. I'll dig a little deeper. Thanks

The accessory plug is towards the front of the battery, on the right side, has a rubber cap on it.  The seat plug is to the left side towards the back of the battery.  They set mine up with the seat plugged in the accessory, had to find the correct one, but it is there....

I found a connector, but the switch doesn't affect it.  Now I see they switched the seat and acc plug. Thanks!

Please fill me in on this accessory connector.

From reading this thread I gather there is a connector buried under the seat somewhere that is switched on or off by using the accessory rocker switch on the dash.  What kind of connector is it?  The same kind of connector that is used on the seat heater connection?

I am getting ready to buy a heated vest and was wondering where I would plug it into (besides my battery tender connector)

Yes, it looks the same as the heater connecton but is towards the front right of the battery, it has a rubber cap on it.  If memory is correct think the heater is black and the accessory is a gray color.

The "DT" being referred to is the plug for the Digital Technician located under the side cover...  Different plug entirely.
