Super SERT Question
« on: October 21, 2008, 10:54:42 AM »

Does anyone know if there is a difference between Part #32109-08 and p/n 32109-08A?  Will the first p/n work on the 2009 SERG?  I want to make sure the box, cables etc work.  I know that I need V2 software.

Also,  I have cables from my 2001 Deuce which has a SERT, but don't know if they fit newer models. Anyone know the answer?

Thanks!

Dragon, as I recall, the "A" is for the '09 update.  See discussion here:   http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=27693.0     Good luck!

And your cables probably will not work.  The SERT and Super Tuner are made by to different entities.  Noticed I said probably.  Would have to do a pin-out of both cables to know.

Super Pro tuner uses USB interface cable to the computer .  The older SERT version were RS232 connections.  The SERT cable that plugs into the Bike comm link is the only cable that is the same and will work with the new Super pro tuner.  The computer cable is different and the VCI(communication) dongle is different.

Will adding a tuner and changing the pipes void any of the warranty on the bike. Here in California the dealers will not do any performance upgrades anymore due to the fear of the EPA. The dealers service dept is suffering but he says to fines by the EPA are just to stiff to take the chance. Anyone in any other state hear this or is is just California?
