Thundermax ECM error question
« on: October 23, 2008, 11:47:48 AM »

I've got an email in to zippers regarding an EGO front and rear error in the diags section of the smartlinkIV software, was wondering if anyone had seen this error. Thanks!

EGO Front / Rear = Oxygen Sensor Front / Rear Status – The engine must be operating for this function to correctly diagnose the oxygen sensors.

I'll have to run the bike and see what I get.

Upgraded the firmware from 4.6 to 4.8, cleared all settings, and loaded and saved the original map for the bike.  Only get the EGO front and rear errors under diags when bike is linked, no errors when the bike is running.  Fr & Rr AFR 19.36.  Sent email to Zippers to see what they have to say. Ride safe (and warm)!

Zippers sent me a new map and told me that its normal to get the error with the linked and engine not running.

Will load the new map and see!

I started getting this trouble code right after the factory "enhancement" including new heads and ACRs were installed.
Engine light comes on during every ride since and codes are the same P0131 and P0151. Zippers responded with how to check the sensors. I did and they are fine.
I think the new heads and/or ACR's are the problem but have no way to check them.
Just what does O2 sensor low mean anyway

Did they reuse the Zipper's Bosch O2 WB sensors or put the HD NB's back on? Just curious. Make sure you have the right O2 sensor on. Other than that, there's nothing else I can offer you regarding your TMax issue.

No, No!! Dealer doesn't know I run the T-Max as they have red flagged anybody with one effectively ending any warranty work from them.
