CVO Numbers
« on: October 26, 2008, 08:57:03 AM »

Two questions:

1.  Are the ~4200 FLHTCUSE4 production numbers for US market only or Worldwide market?

2.  Is the ~4200 bikes produced divided equally between the three available colors, ~1400 of each color?

Thanks!

Here's my guess:

1. Worldwide

2. No.  They build in color phases for various reasons, but one of those reasons is to see what sells.  When I was in Daytona earler this year, the CVO rep asked me which color '07 I had and when I told him it was the blue one, he said it was the rarest color for that year.  They built more B/O and R/B's because of demand.

... and in my humble opinion, you've not only got the best colour, you can say it;s the rarest as well!

Congrats on a very nice looking bike.

BTW, is it true that the '09's are much higher?  From the photos I've seen the rider's seat sure looks like it... Not as much difference between rider and passenger seat.  Did they increase the foam in the rider's seat or reduce it in the passengers?

Just wondering.

I haven't quite figured it out yet, but I'd say it's about 1" higher for the rider.  The seat seems a lot cushier for the rider but about the same for the passenger.  Just my guess.

Speaking of CVO Numbers, was anyone ever able to pry production numbers from the MOCO RE:  2006 FLHTCUSE by paint scheme?

Didn't they have that color for several CVO models of the '08's. Maybe that is the total in that color of all the models. :nixweiss:

If not that brings the total to 5809 for the 2008 FLHTCUSE3, big number.

Sort of exclusive tho'......based of reports of 8K '06 bikes.  I wish I could get my grubby mitts on the '06 numbers.

I to thought 1800 was the number.  The letter from Customer Service does say 105th Anniversary CVO package, so that can't be the case.  I intend to write back or at least ask the dealer what he knows.

OK, who is the '06 numbers guru besides FR8TRN?  I'll happily do the legwork provided I know who to contact to get the info.  Thanks.
