Well thank you Howie my bald headed psycho Fxr riding b-day brother

And the VERY, VERY BEST birthday to you my friend

Ya know, I woke up this morning about 7:30 to the smell of bacon, eggs, grits, and toast. I called from the bedroom for the grandkids and asked them what they were doing and the oldest (11) said, "Hey Pop, stay in bed and we'll be in in a minute." A few minutes later here comes my little one (6) with a plate of all the makings of the finest breakfest a man could ask for. Then the oldest came in and they sang 'Happy Birthday to me and we sat in my bedroom, just the three of us and we ate the best breakfest I ever ate.
After eating breakfest, the boys asked me if I would go to church with them. Now, I'm not a man who attends many religious functions or gatherings as it is something I keep close to the vest; but today being the special day it was, I attended happily but cautiously as I was certain the roof would fall in when I went through those church doors. After arriving, being seated a few moments, I was assured the roof would stay in tact and all would be OK and while there took the opportunity to thank God for the two most wonderful gifts I could have ever received. Sometime we fail to understand that every day we are fortunate enough to wake up in this world that every day is a birthday and our most precious gifts are our family and friends....Again, Happy b-day Howie
