Finally got to see a bike with one of these centerstands......both deployed and stowed.......like I mentioned earlier.  Kept having visions of Goldwings.  And I couldn't get those rusty bottoms out of my head that appear once the stand is stowed.  Nope.  I'll keep my stock jiffy stand.  I have a jack and a lift if I need the bike upright.   :2vrolijk_21:

Which brand of center stand did you see?

I have the Wheeldock center stand and I simply get off the bike and operate the lever with my right foot just like a bicycle kickstand, real easy.

The Wheeldock center stand is great; as a bonus, it doesn't interfere with my TWR rear stabilizer.

Jon

Not to speak for Marty, but it will fit.
I think they were about 5K new but I'm sure Marty will give you a deal.

Marty what brand is it ? A few of the different brands have models they say won't fit a lowered SG such as mine. Does it have the adjustable legs or feet ? Let me know..... Jon

Re: Wheeldock Center Stand Dragging?
« Reply #41 on: July 12, 2009, 01:20:35 AM »

Anyone else dragging their Wheeldock center stand? I'm dragging it pretty easy around corners...right and left...with rear air shocks at 25psi. I have an '09 CVO Ultra.

Thanks,
JD

I got rid of my Wheeldock center stand, but I'm running 35 to 40 lbs in my 09 SEUC.  I seemed to be bottoming out a lot running that kind of pressure in mine.  I'm still surprised you are dragging the center stand though.  I would think you would drag you floorboards long before you would drag the center stand.  It shouldn't hit the ground even if you tipped the bike over.  The driver floorboards are outward a ways compared with the center stand and the lever should be sitting just beneath the passenger board on the left, which shouldn't be anywhere near dragging.  Do you have the Wheeldock made for the 09?  I know a few people put on the older model which really isn't made for the 09.  Unless it's not going up the entire way, it really shouldn't be dragging at all.  Is the lever that you stand on almost touching the bottom of the left rear floorboard when it's retracted?  It should be darn close.
