Hey Ross!!  Welcome to the site! 

        LRebel, MIKEYTEE, Magellan, FLYNDYNA, BIGDOG and Buy early are all dead on.  I think we'd all agree that it's not "what" but "whether" you ride.  The used market is off right now and you can pick up some great used RG's.  Personally, I'd look for an '04 or newer with upgraded motor and six speed tranny.  To me, having that sixth gear and lower revs on the highway makes the ride more relaxing.  There are folks on the site who don't have official CVO's.  I bought my '04 RG from NYHD and had it shipped to Santa Monica for $500.  Turned out to be a great deal and bike.  So, explore all your options!!  Good luck.
