Hi all. New to the forum. I purchased a 2003 SE Deuce about a month ago and am loving every minute of it so far!! I am the third owner. The bike had 7900 miles on it and not a scratch anywhere. Has a few add ons: V&H 2-1 Pro Pipe w/chrome mounting bracket, Mini backrest and luggage rack, oil pressure gauge, oil temp dipstick, HD billit clock, Side mount license plate frame, and mini windshield. I think thats it. Add that to all of the upgrades these awesome machines come with and I'm a happy camper! Came with the manuals and all of the paperwork from both previous owners (purchase orders, maintenance, etc). The original owner paid $28K before tax/lic and upgrades and the second owner paid almost 24K before tax/lic. The second owner also bought the ESP warranty when he bought it in 2005 good til June 09, which I had transfered to my name, so thats some piece of mind. I also have the option of extending it, which I'm seriously considering. I bought it from an older retired guy who doesnt ride enough anymore to justify keeping it. He sold it to me for $15000.00.
I took it to the dealer and had all the fluids changed and put on a new rear tire (stayed with the stock 160 for now) and brakes and had them check the bike out front to back. They also did an ECM upgrade for me.
The weather in NW Washington has been awesome since I bought it and I've been fortunate to put about 800 miles or so on it already. I'm ready to go again!!
