Would like to know how many purlpe and how many red bikes where made?2002screamingeagleroadking?

original estimates were for 1200 of each, but issues with the red paint reduced their numbers estimates have been around 1600 purple and 800 red


where in canada are you? i was in quebec city all last week

think I read somewhere in here that they only made ~417 red ones due to paint problems. I've only seen 2 red ones, both at Little Sturgis.

That red Road King is my all time favorite paint job.  Have only ever seen four bikes at places I don't even remember.  But even if I don't remember the places I do remember the bikes.

I own one.  Bought it in Grand Forks, ND.  Had to have it when I saw it.  Bought it same day off the showroom floor.  Got home and quick sold my 95 Fat boy.  Leaving for Sturgis tomorrow.  Riding with handlebar to handlebar pal on his o3 FLHRSE.  Beer, Bikes and Babes......Cheers

The H-D website says that there were approx. 2200 total units.  Someone in a different forum here said they were told by the Motor company that 411 Candy Brandywines were made leaving approx. 1789 Purples.  I was told that the problem was actually with the painter not the paint. Anyway, once I saw the Candy I had to have it. Took a while to find one for sale but I found it oddly enough in Milwaukee and had it shipped.

thanks for invoe.Nicest bike i ever had and i had a few. would have prevered a red one but at the time athis one came up.Thinking of putting Aren Ness hard bags and fat fender they come in a kit.Mybuddy has them on his decker and they are the coolest,also thinking of putting beach bars on my baby just to give another look.Going in for service this week 48 thousnd K.M. not miles I'm Canadian and so is the bike,but being all the the U S A EVEN DROVE FROM TORONTO TO KEY WEST FLORDIA AND BACK                                                                                                        L                                                                                      LUV 2RD SREAMIN EAGLE 44

That's like 85 bucks US ?  Actually that's very tempting.  As great looking and rare as the red Road Kings somewhere around $29k US is probably a very fair deal.
