How many miles on your SEEG?
« on: October 31, 2008, 09:28:45 PM »

Just wondering how many miles you guys have clocked on your SEEG and what kind, if any, major problems you may have had thus far?   Did you buy it new?    :nixweiss:   :nixweiss:   :nixweiss:

I'm a little over the 46k mark.  The only major thing......a couple of years ago, on my way home from Sturgis, when the cam chan tensioners finally disentagrated.  Other than that, nothing big

Nancy's SEEG is stock and runs good.
No issues there.
I know it's not a SEEG but I rode the Classic yesterday and it's on 48K and keeps running great.
I still remember that camera ride and trying to keep up with your SEEG.
The SERG is at 21K and no issues there.

I had 15K on my first 04 O/B SEEG with no issues until I hit a deer with it...  I had 15K on my second 04 O/B SEEG with no issues prior to selling it (and buying my current 07 SEUC)...

Bought mine 8 months old with 6700 miles.  Just turned 34,000 miles a couple weeks ago.  Only major problem was the replacement of the flywheel ringgear.

He speaketh the truth. It DOES run like a raped ape.

But, not even the tires are stock on that sickle!

Forgot that I found my inner clutch hub splines deteriating when I replaced the ringear on the flywheel.
Gear drive cams at about 15,000 miles (the tensioners looked fine even though my filter(s) had a lot of oranges flakes.

Had to go out and check.  The red bike here is only a little over 41k.  This year it has split time with the SERG though.  Last year the poor girl didn't get ridden a lot while the engine was all Zippered up and ran like crap.  And like yours Ernie it's only ever left me on the side of the road for more than a flat tire just once when the tranny died.  SEEGs are good bikes :2vrolijk_21:

23,900 and change on mine as it goes away for the winter today.  Original owner.  No major problems, but did switch to gear drive around 15,000 (I think it was).  Do have a transmission jack shaft leak currently, and also the bike is using about a 1/2 quart of oil every 1,000 miles or so through the rear cylinder only, it appears, but all-in-all it's been a really fabulous bike.  It's part of the reason I've got the 2 others in the stable - a really great CVO experience with this one, which led to the desire to have . . . . more! :2vrolijk_21:
