Wild 1 Chubby 575's, lots of discussion here about them.

Here are a couple of threads:

I though the chubbys wouldn't work on the 09's because of the fly by....true or false?

Wild1 has made the changes to work with the electronic throttle.

Thought I remembered this on their website.  Here's the mftr's little animated GIF showing what's changed.

It's true.... I have them on my 08 SEUC with the TBW.
The Wild1 575's are great  :2vrolijk_21:

"Chubby" is the marketing name Wild 1 uses for their bars.  They're a larger diameter bar so; Chubby.  The company has many different bar configurations though.  All Chubbies.  But many different widths, rises or pullbacks.

In application to the SEUC (WO575), they're a little wider, and a little higher, which situates the bar closer to the rider by up to 2 inches.

sorry for that last post I hit the wrong button and wasn't finished yet.  The site said that

chubby 575   rise 10"  width 34.5  pullback  13"   and

stock Harley  rise  7.5" width 31"   pullback  12.5"

am I missing something or does this say that they only come back 1/2" more

When you factor in the rise, coupled with the way you install them, you can get the bars 2 inches closer to you............at least that is how it worked for me when I put the WO575s on my 02 Ultra.

Total pullback varies with the angle you place the bars.  That difference in rise can be used to lean them to you a bit as Henry mentioned.  Of equal significance is the wrist angle.  The bend of the W1 bars is such that the hands are much better placed.  A far more natural hand and wrist and should position is gained.  That difference in resting position of the hands/arms/shoulders also accounts for comfort at the level of pullback you're gaining.  For lack of a better description the stock bars "use up" some of the reach you might have by forcing you to bend the wrists a bit in a way that isn't the most comfortable.

Don,
I wouldn't trust anything Henry mentions.  That guy is a friggin' clown who does well to breathe.   :huepfenlol2:
