I have owned an 01 SERG since new but just recently discovered this site and have found it to be beneficial with some good info. I had a deposit on an 09 O/B SERG that I recently withdrew due to the economic downturn and my disappointment with the lack of some equipment on the new model compared to my 01. Beautiful new model but alas I passed on the opportunity.
The alternative was to do some upgrades to the 01: SERT, SE air filter, V&H true duals and monster ovals. Now have a 6200 RPM rev limit and more excitement under the saddle. Once again really fun to ride. Because I have owned other bikes concurrent with this one the miles have been kept lsomewhat low (37,000). What is the experience of others, how many miles of dependable service have you received from your SERG?
