Lindby TwinBar
« on: November 05, 2008, 10:14:01 PM »

Had one of these on my 02 Ultra and loved it.  http://www.lindbycustom.com/cart/home.php?cat=252.  Since the lowers are off Thumper to facilitate engine work, I'm thinking of leaving them off...........and with the recent acquisition of an 02 FLHR, I'm pondering over a TwinBar for that machine............then I started thinking of buying two; one for each bike.  Anyone have one of these on your SEUC?  What do you think of them?

Had them on my softail & loved them.. Like the lowers up here in Canada when it is cooler so I guess I'll stay with the stock guards. THE MUFFMAN

Thanks.  Yeah, I'm kinda partial to the lowers even down here in Alabama, only because I think they look good, and the added storage space is convenient.  They're not needed tho', so been thinking about switching to a better looking engine guard.

Thanks for the info on the Euroguards, but I'm just not much of Kury fan.  Too much time in Korea, I guess.  Thanks anyway.

Excellent question Brian.  Here's my take on that, FWIW:
1)  I'd prefer the HD Bar over the LinBar only because the footrests on on the HD Bar are more durable than the O-rings on the LinBar.
2)  I'd prefer the Lindby TwinBar over the HD Bar and the LinBar because it has the extendable footpegs unlike the HD Bar and LinBar and more durable rubber footrests than the LinBar.
3)  Personal opinion only:  I think the Lindby TwinBar looks better than the HD Bar.

Lindby also makes a mustache bar, not sure what the difference between the one Lindby makes and the HD unit is, or cost difference. I was looking at the Lindy mustache for my RK.

The Multibar.  Like the rounded edges instead of the angles.

That's why they make more than one model.  I like the angles.  Lindby is sharp stuff!   :2vrolijk_21:

So do I, plus it looks like the Lindy mustache bar has a lower top bar than their original bars.

And the TwinBar is more narrow than the LinBar, but that comes in handy in the garage.  We all know most scrapes and scratches happen during ground handling.
