TR-590 Cams
« on: November 06, 2008, 03:13:48 PM »

Wondering if anyone has ran the TR-590 cams?  Thinking about chang'n em out.  I'm currently running 37G cams, 98", headwork, adjustable pushrods.  Tried to post the dyno run, it won't let me.  86hp and 99 ft/lbs.

You talking about the   www.tmanperformance.com  590 cams.

If yes, they are great cams, for the right application.

For your application, I haven't a clue.

In Nancy's bike they were part of the package that made the 126/121 number.

Remember, the parts alone mean nothing if they are not part of a good combination.

It's the right combination that gives reliability and good numbers.

the andrews 37 is a great cam...tr590 is better IF you have the compression, valvesprings, and valve to piston clearance to support them...do your heads flow to .590" lift?

I was told that the heads would work great with the 590's.  Revolution Performance did the stage II head work.

I've been dealing with Andrew for a while now.  He said that I'd be happy with the 590's compaired to the 37G's.  I was just wondering if anyone had been running them.  I'm a RevPerf dealer, so everything that I've done to my engine has been through them.  So far there hasn't been any problems with the build (95" to 98").  Was hoping that there was a dyno sheet out there for the 590's.

I like t-man's stuff...he sold me the hpi throttle body on my bike...my concern about 590 cams in your build is that you're going from a cam with 38* intake close to one with 44* intake close...what's your static compression?

Learn something new every day. After talking with Rev Perf I would have believed that they make the cams for T-Man per his specs. If you look on Rev Perf web site, the cams listed there are the same as T-Mans. Guess I listened to them incorrectly :nixweiss:

I'd either increase compression or consider a shorter high-lift cam...maybe wood tw-5g
