bike stalling at stop
« on: November 08, 2008, 02:15:57 PM »

Sert, supertrapp se slip ons, hd breather...bike sometimes stalls when I stop at a light or stop sign.  seems ok if I keep the rpms up over 1100-1150 or so, but if I just roll up to the light and let her idle she will sometimes stall, or sometimes stall just when I am ready to take off, unless I blip the throttle a little bit.  does anybody have any ideas, maybe too rich loading up, or maybe too lean...????  I could use some help if anyone has run across this before or if you have any ideas.  2007 flhtcuse2. :confused5:

Have you pulled the plugs to have a look at the colour?

Just a thought - I had a cracked header on a previous bike the crack was about 6" from the rear head - (2004 SEEG).   The crack appeared on a trip.  As the crack opened up, the bike would no longer idle.  I finally stopped at an auto parts store and bought some clamps - which closed the crack enough to get me home without the annoyance of the bike stalling.  Got home - replaced the pipe and all was well...
