Hi
about to take delivery of my Fat Bob (black / fire quartz). doing the stage 1 before taking delivery! want to keep the tommy gun look and trying to decide on the slip on mufflers - thinking screamin eagle or rush with 2" baffles! would appreciate any thoughts!

Welcome to the site.....  I also have the SE Fatbob and I went with the Screamin' Eagle® Street Performance Slip-On Mufflers - Dyna® Fat Bob™ Models part# 80674-08, The dealer just put them on and now I'm waiting for them to dyno the bike. They are louder then stock but no wear near as loud as after market slip-on. Now my mechanic who just complete a 2 week class in using the new Super tune and he also has 25 years of wreching on Harleys, He told me I didnt have to tune the bike with using the SE slip-on. But I'm having them do it anyways to fine-tune the bike.

hi there,
thanks for your reply. did you consider the rush or other aftermarket mufflers? i want the deep 'bass' sound with an increase in the low to mid rev torque! Though i like the SE mufflers, despite what you said, i have read that the sound is very much the same as stock? in the uk the bike ships without the screamin eagle big breather air kit so i will be going for the stage 1 anyway!
