The Fender Saga Cont'd
« on: August 15, 2005, 04:58:46 PM »

The saga continues...   I now have a new fender, which will only cost $650 to paint...  hmmm..  close to the price a new stock one, but when given the choice of stock or custom....   yup...  custom it is!

So here's the offending fender with it's $879.00 dent... [smiley=furious.gif]

oops, screwed up on the last pick too, but here's the issue...   I'm repainting, so nuthin' says I have to stick to the stock criteria...

How does it look if I kind of reverse the paint schene and follow the lines on fairing down through the front of the fender...  ?

comments...?

better art work?

IMO put the dark burgandy inside the Gold lines you drew. This would give the illusion as if the two on the batwing come to a point on the fender. Could flow this to rear of fender for custom look. Pinstripe on outside of that. Just spittin out ideas. If dont like um pitchem. You need to please only one person...Yep...its you.

Good luck Breeze.

Yup,  but I'm a woodworkin' kind of artist, and I am looking for opinions on what will look right in the color dept.  I don't mess with that a lot as the wood does the work of the color matching....   My little picture left out the what you were talking about.  What I'm thinkin' in to continue the stripe lines from the batwind down through the fender in the same direction, instead of backwards like the MoCo did it.

thanks for the commentary....  I like the idea of bracketing the stripes in the gold...

Yeah I agree...This way the bike will have the same color viewing from side and from front will flow...I edited the pic a little... see what you say...also put a little different shape off the left of image...sorry colors dont match...used crappy program. Just wanted to show what I was hinting at.
