SERG with Turbocharger!
« on: November 11, 2008, 09:07:07 PM »

Seen at Biketoberfest a few weeks ago.  Beautiful Orange & Black with a Turbo on one side and an intercooler on the other!  Fun to see.

Uh.......that's not a turbo.  It is driven by the primary, therefore it is technically a "supercharger."  Turbochargers are driven by the exhaust.   :2vrolijk_21:

I'm just sayin'.

Yep, that is a procharger.  The owner of the bike is a member with the screen name "wts".  There are a couple threads here on this bike.

It sure is sharp

Monty

Great attitude!
He's just telling it like it is.
It is a "Procharger" which is a supercharger not a turbocharger.
Must be the first time you were ever wrong HUH?

Cool!

And we have all seen that bike and we think it's awesome.
That was just a constructive response that you took wrong.
We all here get things wrong every once in a while.
We were just trying to let you know what that hunk of machinery is.

And thanks for doing so!   :2vrolijk_21:

Henry wasn't taking a shot at you...he was only making an observation about the mechanics of the bike.  Nothing personal - just a comment.  When you know everyone better - you'll understand....

Hey Monty,
Chip and Scott have pretty much covered it, but I thought I'd add a caveat or three.

1)  I'm not even close to being a genius, let alone a mechanical genius.  Like everyone else on this mortal coil, I have my God given gifts, and I use them to make a living for my family, but trust me.......I'm not real smart, let alone genius.
2)  The only reason.....and this is the God's honest truth......I knew that was a supercharger is because I own a turbocharged vehicle, and I have a friend that has a supercharged vehicle.
3)  This is most important of anything I've written to this point.  I'm writing from the experience of a total of over two years of CVO Harley membership spanning two memberships.  Yes, 2 memberships.  The first fell by the wayside, because I took things personally, which were mere written observations, got fed up with one, overzealous individual and deleted my membership account, because I allowed him to piss me off.  Then I got to thinking about it, and came to the conclusion that he isn't worth the dust on my boots let alone giving up all the great friends I've made on this forum.  My point is, none of us can see the others' facial expressions, hear the voice inflection or any other secondary communication, based on the written medium provided by this wonderful forum.  So please, don't do like I did and take things so personally.  I have faults just like everyone else, and I'm far from angelic.......and by no means a genius.  Trust me.....I know what you're feeling, but it'll pass once you get used to this place..........and if someone sticks in your craw and crawls so far up your nose that you can feel their boots on your chin, just ignore them.  Those types are not worth your time, let alone worrying or getting upset about.

Are we cool?   :2vrolijk_21:

Yeah, Henry   we're cool.   You're right - its very hard to tell sometimes in a forum like this or in an email what someone's tone is.  I misinterpeted the tone of the post and that was wrong.  'Nuff said.

cheers
