Direct Link by Technoresearch released for 2009 bikes
« on: November 12, 2008, 10:32:21 AM »

http://www.technoresearch.com/

Direct link has all of the exact same features and functionality of Screamin Eagle Super Pro Tuner.  They have canned maps that have been developed by tuners.  By far the most economical tuner that will tune the Delphi ECU on the bike.  Dyno shops should have the tuning hardware/cables and all the customer needs to purchase is the tuning key and the dyno time.  Both the FBW and Cable bikes for 2009 have been tuned with Direct Link with great results.

This is an FYI only and I am not employed by Technoresearch.  I just like their product and it is easy on the customers wallet and will yeild outstanding tuning results.

When using Digital Tech at the dealership and looking for a EFI tuner DT will show no tuner present when using Mastertune. DirectLink, SERT and SESPT will all show tuner present with DT.

Since you do not know or use Mastertune stick with just selling DL and what it can and cannot do because when you start to compare it to Mastertune you do not know what your talking about.

Yes, the DL code in the ECU will start with a DL and whatever your tuner puts after it.  The new SEST leaves a trace as does MasterTune.  All of the Delphi tuners leave some sort of an ID or Cal code.  Should not be a problem though as how often does a dealer hook up Digital Tech?  Should only do it if there is a complaint about something that involves the ECU but on normal maintenance they should never hook up to the DT.  Warranty is a funny thing and really left up to dealers discretion.  Most will not have a problem with the bike being tuned and running properly.  Most of the big Harley Dealers now pride themselves on being able to build performance motors so a tune on a CVO should not really be a problem for them.

hehe....that was a good one! :huepfenlol2:   :huepfenlol2:

DT has a test and has an answer that says the bike has had a tuner installed. It is a simple yes, no answer, nothing more. If a bike has only had a .mt7 file from Mastertune install it will say no. Calibration files come from dealers, customers and some come from bikes we have tuned here on the dyno and at the track. The 2007 and 2008 files that came from HD are what was supplied with the SERT and those can still be used with Mastertune but those are .mt6 files. Any .mt7 files are not the same as what HD supplied for the SERT. Like I said stick with giving answers to the questions you know and do not assume you know things about a product you haven't used or tested. I'm not here to tell you how DL works as I really have no idea other than some basic functions so I don't answer questions about it. I just would like it if you did the same as people get the wrong idea about a product when you place answers that are not how thing really work and that's not good for you or us in the long run.
