I am sure the frame/swingarm helps a lot in the handling on the 09's, but I also believe the new tire tread design has a lot to do with the improved handling.

Has anybody had any issues with handling (rear steer, high speed wobble, flexing,  etc.) with the new 09 frames?

Feels great, firm and does not wash out in a turn even with strong power applied... Solid and no hopping in a turn. Great....  I have a 2009 SERG Yellow/grey.

Looks like that's pretty unanimous.....and a good report.  Maybe they've finally corrected that issue.

Marty, after this weekend, Terrie's looking at the possability of trading her Dyna in on a Street Glide.  Of course I'm pushing her to go with the 09 for the new frame, ABS and cruise control.  Sure would make life easier for her.

Well, Terrie took the plunge and bought an 09 Street Glide today.  A very nice bike, for sure.

Thanks to all of you for the feedback and report on the 09 frames. :2vrolijk_21:

Very sharp JC and Terrie. Congrats. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Like the touring wheels this year too.

Looks good JC!

Be careful though, those red bike owners always think red bikes are the fastest.

The previous Street Glide wheels always looked like something you would find on a utility truck.

It had the spoke laced wheels on it when we saw it on the floor.  But I prefer tubless and certainly didn't want to pay extra and have to deal with spokes (did that for way to many years).  So I convinced them to deduct the premium for the laced wheels and instead of putting stock Street Glide wheels (wasn't to fond of big black wheels on a red bike) I convinced them to put on a pair of stock 09 Ultra Classic wheels.  I think they look even better than I expected them to......for stock wheels. :nixweiss:

 :bananarock:

That's what I thought about this year's Street Glide stock wheel Chip.  How is they make such a nice looking bike and put such a fugley wheel on it?  Oh yea, that's by design so that we have to spend more. :nixweiss:  Something tells me that these wheels and most everything else will be on this bike for a long time to come.  Terrie's not much about modding a bike.

Oh yea, it had Python exhaust that the dealership already put on it, so at least it's not the stock sound.  Actually doesn't sound bad.  And, I can hear the stereo at 85. :2vrolijk_21:
