March 25th 2000. We had an unseasonably warm and early spring so my brother in law & I took out our Road Kings. Had a great time all day doing the backroads and as we were heading back I was leading, turning in a gradual curve about 45 mph. I hit sand on the road & started to slide. I got the mc straightened out 1/2 way through but by that time I was on the wrong side of the road & clipped the front fender of a 4runner. As my brother in law behind me watched in horror I was separated from the bike sliding down the road on my leathers. The bike had shot straight up  in the air and was following my slide in the air. It came down and according to him missed me by inches. The bike ended up wrapping itself aroung a pole and other than severe damage to the bike & cuts and bruises on me and torn chaps, gloves and leather jacket I got through relatively well. Its a date in time I'll never forget. THE MUFFMAN

Many of you know Barry's (diplacing air), his son Josh and his story of being paralyzed from a car wreck that happened last year. Many here have shown their love here by supporting this family with words of encouragement, prayer, and some helped financially. God Bless you!

I was praying for Josh this morning and remembered the phone conversation I had with Barry. By the time we were able to pray together the doctors already were preparing them that it would take a miracle for Josh to move his legs again. I remember telling Barry "Good! Our God is still in the miracle business and He does His greatest work when it could be seen only to be a miracle from God!!!" We prayed. Several days go by and I get a phone call from Barry as I was backing my truck down the center isle at work to unload tooling. He said he wanted me to be the 1st to know that Josh wiggled his toes! My heart was overcome with Joy and I was sooo thankful that God answered our prayers in our favor, I began praising His name out loud and tears of Joy were rolling down my cheek. Needless to say, everyone at work cleared out from around me, they thought I was nuts but I didn't care. I just witnessed a miracle from God!!!

When Barry and I prayed we also asked that God get the glory in Josh's healing. Then I remember Josh making the TV news. I believe they ran a followup story after 6 more months. Anyway, I thought I saved the 1st article and found it. When I looked at the date I saw it was 1 year ago to this very day. I read not too long ago in a Josh update that he had Barry put his wheelchair in the attic. He continues to rehab and sounds like he is determined to walk without any aid.

Josh and the rest of Barry's family still are in need of our prayers! They have much to be Thankful for and are very fortunate to see the hand of God come down from heaven and touch there lives! Amen? Here is the link to the news story. Have a great day and God Bless!

I was praying

Hey JR.  Some things too easily go unsaid.  Even when they should not.  Josh's bravery, Barry's family's stalwart resolve to do all that was necessary to be there for him, the miracles that supported all their efforts along the way; all of those are sources of inspiration.  But they're not the only ones.  You are too my friend.

You give of your heart and soul to those around you.  Kin or not.  Seemingly without question or reservation.  Thanks.

JR, I don't know if you realize it (you probably do though), but when you think of someone, pray for them, and don't know why it's because at that moment in time they need it. I know I don't call you much, but I think of you often and you are an inspiration for me. God Bless you Bro, and thank God for blessing us with you.

Thanks for the kind words Don! :2vrolijk_21: It is my love for the Lord and seeing how He has turned my life around and can do that for anyone that wants to trust in Him! I believe it is my purpose in life to try and express my love to others as my Father in heaven has done for me. All the glory goes to Him!!!

Gary, as I have stated before, the second greatest gift we have is prayer. The first being our salvation! I feel as a believer there is no coincidences. If the Holy Spirit lays you on my heart, I lift you up in prayer. I may not know your needs but an all knowing God does! I remember many years ago I had a person come up and tell me they were thinking of me and prayed for me. I felt so blessed and was. You ought to try it sometime, the blessing goes both ways! :2vrolijk_21:

HI JR, haven't  talked to you in a long time, after reading this wonderful thread I wanted to say what a blessing it is to have you on this site. When I met you with JC and all the gang I was amazed at how you and yours opened up your home to all of us. I also want to say the same for Chip and Nancy. I used to say I guess their is something I haven't done yet when a miracle happened. Today, I have no problem saying thank you LORD and know HE is looking out for me. Better than I ever could have. I think of you often and will never forget the blessing you gave all of us on our trip across the country. God Bless you and all that receive the joy of reading this wonderful thread. Thank you  Naitrum and my God Bless this Site.  :) Jon

How wonderful to hear you say that Jon! :2vrolijk_21: I had a blast for the short time we got to spend together! Got to go and hear the band on the square while Debbie got dinner ready. Breakfast at Cracker Barrel, getting JC a free rental while they serviced his bike, touring Memphis and Elvis home then finishing up on Beale st. that night. It was hot that day too! Remember having to get you cooled down and then there was that loose shifter linkage of yours...What a great time of fellowship we had! Great to hear from you Jon. God Bless!  :2vrolijk_21:

That was a wonderful time and there have been so many others since then...

Miracles are GOD's way of saying he is here and has a plan for all of us.  I find so much joy in the ones I have read to this point and will take comfort in those that are yet to be posted.

We are entering into a special time of the year in which we should take time to reflect and thank all of those that provide the blessings we have.  While this should occur each and every day I would strongly suggest that you take the time out of your busy life and do so this season.

Thank you JR for the starting of this thread and I look forward to reading and reflecting upon just how blessed we all.

Thought I would share another miracle close to home. Turner was just over a year old when he was diagnosed almost a year ago with stage 4 cancer. Here is his story off the caringbridge site.

Turner was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma on December 27, 2007. The cancer originated on his adrenal gland on top of his kidneys and spread to his right orbital bone and left mandible. We were checked into St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on December 27, 2007. The same day the doctors took a bone marrow sample to identify the cancer and Turner was given a radiation treatment that day to prevent the tumor in his face from spreading. The next day surgeons put in a central line for him to receive his chemotherapy treatment and he was given another radiation treatment. That night Turner started his first round of chemotherapy treatment. He has done really well with his chemotherapy, and has not had any nausea. Once he is done with this round of chemotherapy we will get to go home for a few weeks until the second round of chemotherapy begins. The plan is to go through a few rounds of chemotherapy to shrink the tumor in his face and abdomen. Once the tumor in his abdomen gets smaller, surgeons will go in and remove the tumor. He will then receive radiation to get rid of any little pieces that got left behind. Then he will get a stem cell transplant from stem cells that they will harvest from him. For those of you that know Turner, you know he is a tough little guy and he will get through this.

We would like to thank everyone for the love and kindness we have received already. We would like to especially thank everyone for the many prayers for Turner. We feel them everyday. It is hard to explain the feeling of calmness that Sarah and I have had throughout this difficult time, and we know that it is a result of all the many prayers and God's love. We know that God is with us and He is with Turner, and He will be with us every step of the way. It is times like these when we realize how truly blessed we are to have such a wonderful son in Turner, incredible family and friends, and a loving God that gives us hope in every situation. We ask that you please continue to pray for Turner that the treatments he receives will get rid of the cancer, and believe that God will give us a miracle and heal Turner.

Well 11 months later, a child that wasn't given very good odds to live. A child that was suppose to lose eyesite in the eye that had the tumor behind it due to the radiation, had scans on his cancer. Here is how it went.

Hi Everyone,

Well Turner had his scans today and we were able to get results from the MIBG scan. This is the one where the contrast "lights" up if there is any trace of cancer. Dr. Furman told us today that nothing showed up on that scan! The spot that was in/behind his eye was gone. There was no cancer left.

Keith and I cannot tell you all how thankful and relieved we are to get these results. I know that the doctors at St. Jude have done a fantastic job treating Turner, but I believe that it is only by God's grace that Turner has come this far. To think that not even a year ago we were given very little hope because of the stage of Turner's cancer, and now in less than a year the cancer is gone. We believe that God has worked a miracle in our precious Turner. We want to thank all of you for your continued prayers for our family.
We go back in on Monday to get final results and also to do blood work to see if Turner is ready to start round four of his home meds. He will finish three more rounds of the meds and then we will do scans again. I ask Dr. Furman today if he thought that they would have to do radiation to Turner's eye and he said probably not. Again, that is another prayer answered. After the next three rounds of meds they will make a decision whether or not to do 6 more months of a different med or stop treatment.

Today has been a wonderful and VERY thankful day in the Lee house!!

Love to all,

Sarah

Awesome isn't it! :2vrolijk_21: A young family, this time last year, their whole life was turned upside down. It was their faith in God that saw them thru some difficult moments, allowing God to bless them with a miracle of life this Christmas!!! Thank Ya Lord! Merry Christmas all and God Bless!

There have been several miracles in my life, some large, some small. To be honest, too many to mention in this tread. However, I will share the last one. My dad and I were participating in a work party at our gun club. Due to the fact that we are both fairly handy, we were assigned the task of repairing broken picnic tables so they could be put up for the winter. One of the table frames was bent pretty badly, but I thought I could save it with a little pressure from the forks of the forklift. We had to bring the forklift around in some damp grass and it got stuck. After trying to get it moving to no avail, we decided to pull it out with one of the club's 4x4 pickups. Hooked up the chains to both vehicles and pulled out the forklift without any problem. I saw the driver of the pickup put the transmission in park (saw the rear lights), so I proceeded to unhook the chain. My body was positioned right between the rear of the truck and the rear of the forklift. All of the sudden I heard the engine racing in the truck, and sure enough, it started flying backwards into me. I had no where to go and thought I was a goner. I then felt like i was picked up and placed out of harms way. The truck hit the forklift hard right where I was standing. The guy driving the forklift almost fell out of it and hurt his back. I didn't have a scratch. There were 6 people who watched this happen, and couldn't believe their eyes. When it was all over, I looked up and everyone was standing there with the mouths open. There was no way I could have humanly been able to get out of the way of the collision. Miracle, I believe so. Angel, you bet. God bless!!
