Srius to Zumo

Kathy has Sirus on her bike.

I have a Zumo 550 on mine

Now that Sirus and XM have merged will the Sirus work with the Zumo?

If not...might have a Zumo for sale....looking at a Garmin 478 for the little boat, and willl mount it on my bike also.

My understanding is the radios will remain incompatible for the forseeable future.  Alot of the same content now appears on both services but the channels and radios remain different so there's no way to plug a Sirius radio into the Zumo.  Maybe they'll come out with a Sirius plug in like the XM plug in in the future, but I haven't heard anything yet.

There are a lot of rumors floating around what Sirius will do with the extra band width from XM merger. The one that I hear the most is that Sirius will be offering 30 Channels of video for a new mobile video service. I hope this one comes true and we get Nascar on our auto video centers. My wife will be a happy camper as she always complains on wanting to drive. She'll get her way  :apple: But i'll still be a back seat driver  :huepfenjump3:
