Soft dash for ElectraGlide and RoadGlide
« on: November 19, 2008, 02:22:20 PM »

The Hells Foundry guys were one of the venders on the Hogs on the high seas cruise I was just on. They make (omong other things) the "Soft Dash". It looked good, And I liked the feel. I have always been one to keep my CVO's (mostley) original. Does anyone have one of these on there bike? What have you heard about it? Thanks.

I saw one on a bike recently.Didn't look bad. Not a CVO. It was a newer Ultra . It just looked like someone was trying to hide a damaged dash.  THE MUFFMAN

"Different Strokes For Different Folks"

I think I will stick with the painted to match inner fairing  ;)

I prefer the painted (original) also. The soft dash does come in 3 different colors now and more on the way.

Please follow up on this. I for one would appreciate it greatly. I like the paint to match but am always looking for a way to be different without being odd. I think a taupe or light brown leather covered inner fairing on my Mirage Orange Pearl Road Glide would be totally cool and unique.

I agree, that could be very cool. I won a tour pak rack from them as one of the nightly giveaways on the ship. I plan to pick it up either today or Friday. I will be sure to check on it for you.

Spiderman, I was at the Hells Foundry complex today. They gave me a tour of the whole place. It is very nice. All brand new. I couldn't count all the Electraglide SoftDashes ready to go out to customers. They got alot of orders from the cruise rally.
I saw a SoftDash for a Roadglide with my own eyes. It was a "pre production" version but it was there. It looked awesome. It was molded in the lighter of the 3 colors. Derik (the big cheese) said they will be ready to go soon. they have a few different Roadglide products. I told him that you asked me to check on it for you. He said to tell you about the Roadglide stripe kit they offer. It goes on the side plate, kind of connects the tank and saddlebag stripe.
Let me know if you need any other info, I'm happy to help.

Seems a little pricey to me.   :nixweiss:  $800 for an inner fairing.  That's about twice as much as a color-matched one.  I wonder how easy it is to keep it clean with a pebble finish.

I just oredered a new inner fairing for my NANA, I believe the price was about $380 and a 8 to 12 week delivery. I did this because I finally removed that darn POS HD Quest GPS mount and plugged the small holes left from it. I kept looking at the plugs and I could not get over them. I emailed Hell's to see what the price break would be if I supplied the inner fairing. It might be a nice change to not have to stare at all that yellow for a while. Oh chit, I didn't say that with my outside voice, the banana gods will be very angry at me. ;D
Of course if I get the black leather one and don't like it, I know Howie would take it. We all know how badly he really wants a "FTF". ;D

thanks, I think I may take MJZ's route and ship them my inner fairing

FYI  Los Dragonnes "LD" my 07 Faux SERG has the side panels painted to connect the tank and saddlebag stripes in a very unique way. Also there are ghost flames similar to the 05 SEEGS on the fairing, front fender, saddlebags and TP. There's some pics on a thread about the bike on the site.

Brian, I just got an email from them saying they could not do a customer provided inner fairing. It is an interesting product but for more than twice the price of a Screamin Eagle painted inner fairing? No way, IMHO. Not worth offending the NANA gods for me. ;D
