Charlie,

PC would probably work for me.  I just spit, polish and ride, but want good performance and sound.  If I turned a wrench on this bike, I'd break something for sure.

Go with which ever one you're more comfortable with.  Like I said Richmond can do both.  I went the SERT route as I don't get into doing that stuff myself and a good dyno guy can do wonders with a SERT.

Thanks Charlie.

Have you heard much about the  BUB 7 true dual exhaust system.  See the link.  Looks and sounds impressive.

The Bub 7's are great looking pipes and you can't go wrong with Bub.  I've never personally heard them, but there are some on the forum here that have them and they're happy with them.  If you get the chance listen to bikes that have the various pipes on them and go with the ones you like the sound of and looks.  I don't know what kind of performance numbers you'll get out of the 7's but I'm sure Baggs can tell you what you want to know.  By the way, Baggs is a big 2-in-1 guy.  he feels that's the best bang for the buck performance gain you can get without going inside the engine.  Just thought I'd tell you that.  ;)

Now that we know who works on bikes on the West Coast how about us east coast guys?

2009 CVO Ultra sounds like a sewing machine compared to my traded in 05 Ultra with the Screamin Eagle exhaust and Vance and Hines DFO.

Heard Rinehart’s and Vance and Hines slip-on pipes are good and also am seeing a lot about removing the baffles from the stock exhaust.  Who's doing what and how’s the performance being affected?

It seems you have been given many excellent choices for work in your area, but I feel compelled to give you my .02!  :)

I bought my 05 SEEG in Orange, VA, and took it to Frederick HD in Frederick, MD. I had a new cam, polished valves and heads, lifters, and a race tuner put in! Results were 115hp and 115 tq, and I couldnt be happier! :)
Well, I guess I COULD be happier! I COULD get the same thing done to a new 09 SEUC!  ;D
My 05 has 20k miles, and has been very dependable, and I feel very confident with it. It probably helps that I dont necessarily ride it very hard either. It is a LOT of motor, for such a small amount of mods!
The dealership was fantastic to work with in all depts. I even had them sell a bike for me on consignment, and it was a great experience. I must confess, this all happened in the 2005/2006 timeframe, as I have since relocated to Arkansas. I would expect the basic fundamental customer relations to be similar today!
Good luck, and PLEASE let us know what things you have done to your scoot, as I have a keen interest!  ;D

i thought about the bub 7 but they route the left pipe right by the passengers foot so i went with monster ovals and they sound and look great.

If I change the stock pipes to the Monster Ovals, Does that take care of the catalitic converter. Is it located in the mufflers?
Sorry to be such a dumbass but I dont know

No the CC are not in the mufflers they are above that point in the header pipes.

So if I purchase new header pipes, such as a true dual system that will elimiante the catalitic converter?
I guess I would then need to keep the old header pipes as there has always been talk of smogging motorcycels here in California, but up till now it has not been done and if need I could put them back on for the test. That is why I would hate to drill it out as I saw someone else here on the website do.

Thanks Flibb,

That changes things for me.  Traded in the '05 Ultra because the wifes legs were getting burned, with jeans on, during long trips.  Back to square 1.
