decided to get off my a$$ and show my respect/support for those that have served for us. with the assistance of gerbing and and sun-ray i put down about 100 miles in below freezing temps yesterday to stand in a PGR flag line for Corey when he was returned home yesterday. it was a very emotional experience as Corey's mom walked our line and shook each of our hands and thanked us for being there and supporting Corey and her family.
Shea, 21, was a cavalry scout with Killer Troop, Third Squadron, Third Armored Cavalry Regiment out of Fort Hood, Texas. He had been in Iraq for a year and his tour of duty was to expire in January.
He died near the city of Mosul when he and other soldiers with his unit were shot at by a renegade soldier with possible ties to Al Qaeda. One other soldier was killed and six were injured. The Iraqi soldier was shot dead.
