Bet you didn't know they existed

Well I guess I have just invented them

Anyway, after suffering for a couple of months with the noise the Vance & Hines Big Radius 2 into 1 make, I decided enough is enough and did something about it; I had the previous Screaming Eagle pipes and gutted them to see what I could use from them in my plan to reduce the dB's on my 2-1 system. I found that the SE muffler could fit inside the V&H if I cut it below a certain length.
The next chore was to weld the SE part on the V&H muffler, so I tried to do it, but my welding experience is only related to steel over 1/2" thick and even then I'm a total disaster. I tried nevertheless, but just to find that I almost destroyed the original V & H muffler......

Thank God I have great welders where I work and after a good laugh, they repaired and welded the two parts together.
I have spent this weekend putting it all back together and the first impressions are good. It is snowing a bit so I dare not ride my CVO in such conditions, but right now I have achieved my goal; the dB's have dropped making the bike an almost civilized machine. But not being able to try it out leaves the biggest doubt about the whole modification; I have reached my sound/noise reduction goal, but I cannot jeopardize completely the great achievement the V&H 2-1 does to the top end power in exchange for a quieter bike.... I expect some loss and a slightly better mid range, but I have no way of telling till I ride the bike.
