« on: December 06, 2008, 11:26:51 AM »

Looking at this loader for my pick-up truck.  Has anyone had experience with this.  Thanks for any feedback.

Had that loader for one year, and felt it was dangerous. Was well built and factory stood behind it, but less than desirable as far as we were concerned. Ramp and bed is made of heavy guage steel. Took all my wife and I could do to connect the two sections. We are both 60 so that explains some of it, but nothing should be that hard. When the bike passed the center point on the way into the truck, it slams down into the bed. Nothing real bad but disconcerting.

If you still want one, I have mine. It is located in Iowa and $500 would buy it.

All I can say is I'll bet the house that it is not as easy as the clip would lead you to believe.

The clip even started with the front wheel already tied down and on the ramp.

I'll stick with a trailer. I look at this way, the money you spend on this, throw it at a trailer and get mutable use out of the trailer. You'll even gain a few more friends and learn that the best trailer to have is your friends.  :confused5:

I have a trailer as well   ...   but the loader is so convenient for like taking your bike in for work and dropping it off   ...   or going to a place
with limited parking and or maneuverability    ...   like going to D.C. for business but stay an extra while for pleasure   ...    it is super handy

and with a condor type chock made in its an easy one man operation

                                                                                                reccommend it
