Hi, I had the stealth heated grips added to my SEEG at the first service.  I loved them. However, they did not run them through the handlebars - actually - the install was extremely sloppy.  But, toasty fingers are a good thing when it is chilly out. I really like them.  But, when I did not pack warmer gloves, counting on the grips, the chilly ride I had to Myrtle Beach in the spring - they quit working. I had the left grip replaced twice - never worked after replacement - not once - and the right grip lost all it's chrome. Just on the verge of the 90 day warranty - I had the flame heated grips put on instead - and of course in the last 60 days it has not gotten lower than 85 degrees so I have not used them - so they work fine and look great. I have the flame saddle bag latches as well and I like the look of the flame grips and latches together. I think if the stealth floorboards start to peel I will go flames there too. I trust that the 06 bike heated grips will work much better and with the in handbar install from the factory you have a good looking thing as well.

Anybody used the heated seat and grips on the 06 CUSE?

When I was returning home from my trip to Reno, last month I must have switched the riders heat on and I started to feel the warmth of the seat. After about 30 miles into the ride I had to pull over and check the switch button and sure enough it was on. I wonder if there is a way to have the seat warmer only work with the acc button on?

I used to live in Wisconsin about 4 years ago and had heated grips on my 2000 RK Classic and I liked and used them. Almost November and we must begin to make the changes to keep racking up miles on the scooters.

Mine only works with the ACC switch on.

06ULTRASE,

Thanks maybe that day I had my ACC switch on as I was still getting use to the bike
Are there any other things tied to ACC Switch?

I think the grips and the seat are tied to the acc switch.

It works on it's own for power. Has nothing to do with the acc switch.

Pull the seat off and see how it is hooked up to the main wireing under the seat.

You should see two wires from the seat going to two wires on the main loom.

You will also see a connector down by the battery ( in front of battery) with a rubber cover on it. That is the acc switch hook up.

"IF" someone put a connector in the acc one and than a jumper (with two) to run to the seat , it would run only with the acc turned on.

This I know from when I put on the lights I run off the lower legs and they wire into the acc plug under the seat.

What I do when I need the seat on is with my left hand I can "feel" the flip switch on the seat and than push up/down to set it on high or low or to shut it off ( in the center)

[smiley=nixweiss.gif] Sounds like there are a couple of different ways the seat is hooked up. Mine only works with the ACC switch on and the seat is plugged into the ACC plug under the seat.  The grips work independ of the ACC switch.  Sounds like it depended on which day the thing was put together as to how it was wired.  Go figure.

Mine works with the acc on or off. Just used it tonight. It got in the fourties and had the grips on three and had to use the seat on low or I was going to have roasted nuts when I got home. Man it gets hot when I set it to high. Closed the vents on the motor...and my knees and face where the only things cold. Time for some leather chaps...and time to put the full face helmet in the tour pack.

Yep Winter is on its way

Growing up in the Midwest I quickly learned about Cold, Wind, Rain, Snow & how quickly the weather can change.

I moved to Central CA about 4 years ago & still chuckle when I see riders in Full Leather on 69 degree days and they are thinking about putting the bike up for winter. I live to ride and the only thing in Central Valley of CA,

My seat is heated only when the ACC switch is on
I do not like it that the grips are heated when bike is off but radio on, I like to listen to the XM radio when cleaning bike but forget to turn off the heated grips
