Yup
I remember when I used to chuckle when I was told that the bike is the cheapest part of the investment...
Makes you want to wet your pants when I think that statement may also be true for the SERG---I told the wife the that the whole purpose of buying the CVO was that it was a finished bike
Rob
oh hell, I can see y'all are going to be a baaaaaaaad influence!

I've been drooling over the yellow version of this bike for awhile... saying if I got the promotion I was looking to get, I'd buy one... and I did, so now I am seriously considering it.
So of course I Googled the bike and found y'all.
A little history on me... I am a former Wingabego rider... I put about 100K on my '01 GL1800. I've racked up "one or two" Iron Butt Rides, topped off with the 48++ (The lower 48 states, stopping in Mexico for chits & giggles, through Canada, to Hyder, Alaska in under 10 days)... which wasn't enough of a challenge, so I added more mileage to combine the ride with the 10/10th (10K+ miles in under 10 days).

After that, I was over the Wing, so I sold it and bought an '03 BMW 1150 GS Adventure... which I took 3 weeks off in June and rode it to Prudhoe Bay (if you're interested in reading about the ride, check this thread out
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=356672 ... it must be a good read, it's got 227K+ hits)
I've got no intention of selling the BMW... but am looking to add another bike to my stable... and can't get over how hot this bike looks... BUT, I HATE washing my ride... I washed my Wing once or twice a year, whether it needed it or not... lol

So I am obviously concerned about my motivation/desire/capability to keep all this purdy chrome all shined up...

I've talked a lot of crap to my Hardley riding friends over the years, so now the prospect of having to eat my words and take back my, "I'd never buy a bike I couldn't ride" comments.

SO if I can pick up one for $30,200 out the door (w/ 5 yr warranty), should I eat my words and saddle up?
