Another detachable tour pak question? (2006 SEUC)
« on: December 11, 2008, 02:26:41 PM »

thinking about changing leather buffalo hump on 2006  SEUC to chopped tour pak. Needs advice ( or confirmation) on following parts:
Docking hardware:53804-06
Detachable two-up: (53276-06 or 53303-07)
Is there an antenna relocation kit to the chopped tour pak? Will the layback license plate holder work with tour Pak?
I have already done the Hawg Wire set up, but need to move two more speaker to lowers.
thanks in advance, john

53303-07 is the kit that includes the detach rack, the docking hardware, and the antenna cable, bracket, and most of the parts you will need.  The kit is designed to be used with the tour pak's that already have the antenna base.  If you go with chopped tp you will need to get the antenna base or might be able to use the one on your existing tp, but think they are different.

John,
On my 06'FLHTCUSE I used the following:
53276-04 Detach Tour Pak Rack $179.95
53804-06 Kit, Docking Hardware $54.99
60210-07 Layback Lic Plt Tour   $59.95 (WORKS WITH TOUR PAK)
Dakota Digital Ant 2000 Digital Antenna (inside fairing) $79.95  http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=241/category_id=239/home_id=60/mode=prod/prd241.htm
Hawg Wired PSC/CX/CXV "Four In The Face" Audio System $1629.99
http://hawg-wired.com/product_info.php?products_id=80&hwID=af4ff902c86819e2c4637aefa30d7436
HDFLH-7-CVO-YG Corbin "Young Guns" Seat $439.00

All you will need is the Hawg Wired GBV525 Lower Faring Speaker Adapters and the speakers of your choice to complete the "Four In THe Face" setup given you have the correct Hawg Wired Amp system.

John, if you're planning on selling the leather "Buffalo" tour pak I'm planning on buying one in the next few weeks for my 09 SERG.  Let me know if you're interested.  Dan

JMHO but you should definitely go with the hidden antennae inside the fairing.  They're said to get better reception , you don't cheep walking into them when the bike is leaned over on the jiffy stand and they get rid of all the ugly bracketry...win-win-win ;)
