Thing about it is that I bought gas on Monday for $2.59
and felt like I was getting scalped.

Today I was glad to get it for $3.00

And you guys were poo pooing the thread on gas mileage on our scoots not too long ago.  Maybe it's time to do another one of those.  My buddy just did a 95 inch rebuild on his twin-cam and is consistently getting over 50mpg.  Nite-Al and I are both getting over 45mpg on '04 and '05 SEEGs.  If a motor is tuned right it should still get good mileage performance regardless of whether or not it's a big motor.  Someone said it takes something like 17 bhp to move a FL Harley at 60mph regardless of the size of the motor.  Now that doesn't mean you can ride like Otis, Hubbard, and HD2003 and still realize the same mpg figures.   Ride it like you stole it (the gas).   [smiley=1syellow1.gif] Har!   spyder

Me too, $2.99 for unleaded in the car today.  It will only go higher from here, not down.

Saw something on Yahoo! today saying $4.00+ will be the order of the day sometime soon.  The question is not if, but when. [smiley=nervous.gif]

Still $2.59 in my area of FL late this afternoon.  Hard to imagine in a state where you get gouged on everything.  Go figure.

Not only the pricing but the rage too...Long lines began today as several radio stations locally indicated several stations out of gas.  Price - $3.09 Regular Unleaded, Police at several stations...

As for the rage, I was in line for gas when a truck attempted to pull ahead of me.  Not seeing a post, I punched the gas on the car to not lose my place.  The end result, a nice big dent in the rear quarter panel of my company car.  Needless to say, I was pi$$ed.

This could be only the begining for a period of time.  Just placed a locking gas cap on the 38 gallon truck parked out front of the home.

Of course with all these comments, it could be worst...I could still be living in N.O., LA and not having a home...Just I'm blessed, what about you?

$3.19 here in northwest Indiana, $3.69 in Chicago, and probably going to $4.00 real soon.  Never dreamed I would have a $20.00 fill up on a motorcycle!

I heard on a talk radio program awhile ago that it'll be $4 per gallon by the end of summer.

I know technically end of summer is some date on the calender but for me and lots and lots of school kids the end of summer is the end of August.
Today damn it [smiley=furious.gif]

We cannot find gas for under $3.00 anywhere around us.  It went up .70 cents over night.  We are selling our Nissan Murano ----- which got pretty good gas mileage and are buying the new Hybrid by Lexus.

See the new gas gauge I had installed on my SEEG yesterday.

I hate to complain too much though, because we have a home and each other and can drive our vehicles. The folks in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi have lost everything.  It is a horrible state of affairs there, I will gladly pay my $3.00 per gallon to not have to live with the devastation they are having to endure right now.
