That sounds about right for "FB"... I bet he'll even fly you down on his Screamin' Eagle plane to pick it up. ::) :(

The SERG is the nicest looking machine since the 04/05 SEEGs.........so how is it the SEUC is outselling the SERG?

Best bike sells best!
Only thing I can figure!

stopped in at FAT B..in daytona yesterday..he has the yellow glide on the floor..nice cheap price for him...44,995.00.....

FYI
He buys most of these bikes at MSRP from other dealers and pays shipping to Daytona. So, he's into the bike for about $7k above what one shipped to him from the MoCo costs him. Beyond that, many dealers price up the CVO line by a grand or two so it's not much of a stretch to figure how he arrives at his prices. And of course his clientele is the " I want it and I want it NOW and I don't care what it costs "  RUB crowd. He couldn't care less about the guy who saves his money and dreams while he saves and finally goes to the dealer to make those dreams come true. This is simple algebra - - - - - - - -FB/DD + RUB = $$  You can hate the guy ( I do /I'm the one who named him FB) but you gotta admire his ability to make money.

I think the SERG is a good looking machine, but as far as it being the nicest looking one, well, that's just a matter of personal opinion.  ;)  It is rare if ever that you'll catch any of the dealerships around here with SEUCs on the floor, but I've seen the SERGs at quite a few dealers.  I'm a little more partial to the Electra Glide look myself, so naturally, I think the SEUCs are the best looking CVOs.   I think the SEUCs, as long as they are still selling like they are, will become a staple of the CVO line up.  They may skip a year or two if they start dropping in sales, but they'll be back as long as the FDs are still the number one selling bikes in the HD lineup.  JMHO.

One dealer I talked to had a Road Glide that's been sitting on the floor without any interested buyers but there were four people (including me) trying to buy his SEUC. He claimed that dealers in the midwest are selling ten Road Glides to one Ultra so he may trade his out there for another Ultra. In my area, you just don't see many Road Glides around. The fairing style is growing on me but to most people, I think it's a love it or hate it kind of motorcycle.

Wow!  We need to ride the '98 Ann Road King down to Daytona and park it on the street with a For Sale sign on it.  I'd be thrilled for $17,000 for it.

In Bellingham, WA our shop received a SERG (FLTRSE3 Orange) on January 2, and it went out the door to me on January 3  :orange:.  When I went in the Shop and I had no idea it was there, I had no idea the shop was even getting one.  I seen one at Sturgis last year (Silver) and wanted one then.  I ended up paying invoice and I got soaked on my trade-in  :'((2006 FXSTS with custom paint, wheels, and motor work and 32K in miles), but living in the NW and closing in on 50 years old, I decided it was time to sit behind a fairing. ;D  I am very happy and will enjoy reading and learning from this forum.  As soon as I can I will post some photo's.

Sounds like this is the one.  I know it wasn't uncrated on the 31st 'cause a buddy of mine saw it in the basement.

I was going to go look at it this week, glad to hear the temptation is gone.

Not sure if it being sold to somebody you might end up sharing some wind with is going to help or promote temptation. :nervous: :nixweiss:

Promote it Gary, I'm hoping there's a 2010 model and business is such that I don't feel guilty buying one by then.
