OK, so glides and everything else are selling slow right now. So if I was to locate one, does anybody have an idea what trade difference would be fair - trading in my '06 FLHTCUSE with 10K miles on it? I don't have a clue what a good deal would be.   :nixweiss:

Bob here is a 06 Phaze just traded on a 09 SERG. It has 27K miles on it and does have a 6 speed.

I would think you would be looking at at least 27,000 on a trade with only 10K miles on it.
I went by today to see what they would want to trade Elvis in on a silver SERG, they have 4 shipping in this quarter but all are already sold. (Thank God)

BobD, recommend you look at the NADA guide for trade in value. My local dealer uses that book and it actually gives better value than Kelly Blue Book, if you want to compare. I traded my 2005 Cherry SEEG with 13,500 miles and they offered me $20,000 and I jumped at it based upon watching what same bikes have gone for on Ebay, this website and at another dealer locally. Some one else told you that your bike is worth $27,000, and it may be IF you can find someone with cash in hand that wants to buy your bike. I seriously doubt it though. Good luck.

I think Mark has been smoking the pipe again. How long were you in Costa Rica? Bob, if you can get $27k I'd be very surprised! Average retail on NADA is $26k and the trade in will be about $22.5k.

I got $26,000 in trade for my 06 Green FLHTCUSE with 32,800 miles on it and ordered a new 09 SE Ultra back in OCT.  The economy probably didn't seem as rough at the time though.  Dealers have their own Harley specific book that our guy was using.  Not sure what he called the guide but he said NADA didn't mean squat to him on a Harley trade.  I think the bottom line is that you have to be a better salesman than the dealer.  My traded SE was gone in 5 days!

I wish there was a consistant message here. Dealers are all over the ball park on values. The car industry has pretty much gone to wholesale pricing on both your trade and the car they're selling you. That levels the field. I just don't want to be offered wholesale for my bike and then be expected to pay full retail for the new ride. It really doesn't matter what they're asking or what they're offering - it's just what's the difference.
We'll see what they offer today. I may ride home on a new O&B SERG or I may fall in love with my CUSE all over again.

Still no SERG's or SEUC's on dealer floors in my area.

My local dealer has them all pre-sold.

As for the SERG, he was told he would get three, possibly four.  Well as of now he is getting five, Mine has a ship date of Feb 13.  He has two shipping to him on that date.  He is also thinking he will be able now to get one more.

None will ever make it to the floor.  He has long waiting lists.  Could be he is a MSRP dealer.

Hey skreminegul07 : We do business at Kelley's! We purchased my SERK and my wife's RK there. The CVO is currently there getting "enhanced". We will be headed down mid week to check on the progress. What is your daughters name so we can wish her Happy Birthday.

Sorry to post so late.  It's CAT (Catherine) . She works in Motorclothes, Reception, and is moving towards sales.  She worked at the show in Wilmington on Saturday.

Right now in my local area of California, there are 2 Glides on the floor one at Van Nuys Harley (Orange) and the other at Ventura Harley (Silver). Both are about 35K out the door . At the same time both dealers have priced my 07 Ultra SE trade value at about 26-27K. It is in excellent shape with about 12,500 miles on it with some substantial upgrades additionally Van Nuys is my service dealer and has been since it was brand new. Hope this helps

Location is everything! California is at 18% unemployment. People are backing off of the luxuries. Wisconsin on the other hand is more fortunate. No SERG's or Ultra's at any dealer I have visited. I had to be at the right place at just the right time to get an 09 SERG last September. 30K plus is a lot of jing for a seasonal vehicle no mater how you look at it. I look at the SE bikes as a bargain tho after spending 30k doing up my 07 street glide.  I know the SERG will hold more value down the road too. :2vrolijk_21:

I agree with you, it just depends on what part of the country you live in. All 5 Houston dealers have deposits on theres already at $4,000 over MSRP. While researching the internet, the dealers further north were eager to sell them at MSRP pricing. I ended up in Sioux Falls, Iowa
