Tim you probably have already thought of this ....
but once you start the 'index' thread, you might consider requesting that it be added as a 'sticky'
Mikey, Howie, and to all.....
I appreciate your kindness.....I have a specific goal in mind and that is to simply provide opportunities for us all to keep informed and aware of technical, mechanical, as well as modifications which we all as FXR Owners will derive benefit from.....so I ponder, and think about what's the best method to do such....in the end hopefully we as FXR Owners become more knowledgeable and more capable of maintaining our wonderful bikes....so....I create and you all decide whether there is any benefit to you or others....so it's not my place to decide where things get "saved" personally....that's better suited to come from you all....it has more merit....or at least it seems more plausable that it has more merit....ie: let the "populace" decide.....right?
For example.....do any of you receive the "AMERICAN BAGGER" Magazine? the magazine is a fairly new publication that's been out just over 2 years now, the guys that are ahead of the publication are from Spearfish, SD........the "theme" of the magazine is specifically about "baggers" (I own an RKC as well hence the interest) well a recent issue depicted a article on a DYNA as a touring "bagger" potential bike.....and I am thinking to myself wait a minute......if they are willing to do a article talking about the "merits" of a "DYNA" framed motorcycle as a means for an acceptable "touring" framed bike within the context of a "bagger"......I am thinkin....by golly we need to submit an article about the "FXR" framed motorcycle as a means for a "QUALITY" "touring" framed bike.....so....I sit and ponder.....lol.....in other words.....here we sit with one of the best "Chassis" ever offered from HD......so it's a constant effort to make other's aware of what an FXR is.....and in the end, why? Simply because there is a greater enjoyment for all to be had.....
So.....that's a long explaination....that says....I get excited about the FXR and all it's wonderful benefits....so I want to make it easy to help others "discover" the excitement as well.....so I will try to create and you all decide.....lol
Regards,
Tim
