And another shot with a different exposure for a different view:

The spoiler lights display running lights and brake light.

Wow, from the photos, those things put out a lot of light!  Almost as bright as your (LED?) tail light.

How about a shot of the wiring routing?  Do they connect/disconnect where the spoilers do?

Don, how late were you up putting those on last night?

Brian, I'll take a picure of the wire routing next time I've got the camera out.  Just didn't think to shoot that one this evening.

It's pretty much what you'd expect though.  Little shielded harness that comes through the side of the bag behind the latch.  Then once inside stick on wire clips carry it around to the same area where the spoiler harness goes through from the inside to the outside of the bag.

I took them out very close to side by side so both connectors would be close to each other now and so they'd both be close to each other later when I took it back apart and made the two connectors in to one.

The two connectors hang just outside the saddlebag.  Just below the strut and in front of the shock on each side.  Nicely hidden from view unless you're looking straight down but still out of harms' way.

They wouldn't both be there though if you did not make up that little intermediate harness like I crimped together this evening.  I just happened to have enough terminals and some of the correct molded plugs left over from other projects and mis-spent evenings.

Without that home made intermediate harness, however, the latch light connector would go all the way up underneath the seat to that big rear harness connector behind the battery.  I made up the new intermediate harness for each side because I didn't want to have to first take the seat off everytime a saddlebag needed to be removed.

Actually was messing with it a about two hours this evening.  Maybe a few minutes less but that's pretty close.

Don't have a clue where that price of guess came from though  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]  Some days the fingers just have a mind of their own  [smiley=7.gif]

Thanks CEI, I'm liking 'em more and more all the time too.

The camera was still here on the desk so I grabbed the harness pics that 103 wanted.

Here's the harness coming out of the latch itself and going from the outside to the inside of the bag.

And this is what it looks like when it's all protected and hidden from view by the nice plush saddlebag liners we talked about a couple of weeks ago Brian.  I just shoved it back in there for the photo.  With a little hand smoothing they fit better.  But this gives the general idea.

Once again, nice looking install!  I will have to get a closer look at these sometime.  I'm going to do the saddlebag spoilers this winter (you can make 'em work with the organizers, right?) and it would probably make sense to do these at the same time.

It's odd that the wire isn't black like the spoilers'.  Just being a little anal, I guess.  Good excuse to buy liners, too, I suppose. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Nice install! - By the way, am I crazy or are the lid organizers not cut exactly right? Mine just never lined up to the contours of the lid.  Did you have that same experience?  Thanks, PJ
