It's arrived - finally

Well after what seemed like an incredibly long time, I got the call today that my 09 O/B SERG was finally in.  This was after ordering it in early August and arriving today.  Got to the dealer as quickly as I could and helped uncrate the baby. Wow it is stunning and even hotter when it is your own.  So now the fun begins. Thanks to all of you in paving the way for us novices. Here is the list of mods that are getting done.

Taking out Cat and installing Fullsac 2.25"
SERT w general map (will tune at 1,000 mi)
Roland Sands breather
Moto Lights (brake caliper mount)
Hawg Wired (getting 4 ch amp as I would like to add speakers in lowers someday)
Kisan headlight modulator w PIAA xtreme white bulbs
changing air temp gauge in fairing to oil temp
lowers
chopped tour pak w spoiler light
wig wag for brake lights

Is that enough?  Oh, right.  it is never enough.  It will do for now.  I am just happy to finally have the little bundle of joy.  Happy Holidays to all.

I have lowers ordered for my silver SERG and am putting 4 channel Arc Audio setup in it.  I have not found speaker pods to fit the Roadglide lowers-have you or are you going to custom fab something?? I was waiting to see how 300 watts through the upper speakers sound before going any further. Will have to wait for the snow to melt first

Congrats on the arrival, now the real fun begins :huepfenjump3:

One word of caution on the oil temp gauge. The new SE guages illuminate completely differently than the P&A oil temp guage. On the SE guages the numerals illuminated and the older spun alum. guages are backlit. during the day there is not much difference but at night it really stands out like a sore thumb. I have talked to my parts guru whom has checked with HD on this. As of last week there are no plans to make a new oil temp guage to match.

Congrats tlr.  I have been waiting since July/August myself.  Mine arrived two weeks ago, but I have yet to see it in person.  I will be picking it up Saturday.  I can hardly wait.  Looks like a good start on the mods.

I did take a couple of pics while we uncrated it.  I am not sure how to post them but will figure that out.

I did decide to let the dealer do all the mods. I travel alot and want to get it done. Also, i know it would take quite awhile for me to do them and quite frankly, I dont want to deal with all the "are you done yet" "what about me" etc.

As for speakers, I will wait awhile to see if Hawg Wired comes up with a solution.  If not, yes, I will get someone to fab something to fit 6 1/2's. 

HD-Dude, great point and thanks for letting me know about the oil gauge.  I will cancel that.  No sense putting it in if it is going to look that different.

No riding here in NJ. Snow, ice, rain.
