Think I Found A Deal ?
« on: December 24, 2008, 11:15:57 AM »

05 Cherry SEEG with 7,300 miles on it. It is all stock and all original, in like new shape, one owner. He is asking $19,000.00 for it. He just lost his job and I hope he will take $17,600.00 for it, as this is the current trade in value. Original tires and battery and has all the stuff that came with the bike when purchased in 05. I know I will have to replace battery and tires, also do some upgrades to cool it down and make it run better. Do you people think this is a deal ? or in the recent economy is it to much money?  Thanks Doc and Merry Chrismas.

If you're buying it to keep the number is right.  Not a quick flip profit maker at that price.

A most fantastic bike, the miles are nice and low and the price is good.  I think running not walking is a good idea on this one.  It is a tad hot, but not that bad.  Tune and new pipes and you are good to go.

I think at $19,000 it's a very good deal.  Good luck and let us know what happens.

Dealer will only give the work done on the bike to the owner of the VIN# Seller says it had a saddle bag replaced only, and the 1000 mile service was done and also the 5000 mile service, but that was 2 years ago.  Thanks Doc

Get the records from the owner if you get it and at $19k I think it's a great deal.

IMO the market doesn't bring the specialty stuff down like the volume stuff of the regular production.  If he takes less then you are just that far ahead, but don't let $1,400.00 get in the way of a buy that you want.

If you aren't that concerned about getting it go ahead and let it be for awhile and hope no one else recognizes what a deal it is at $19k and buys it.  Remember, the 2005 models bring significantly more than the 2004's so don't get your numbers confused when you are buying the bike with tour pak etc.

Doc,
Give him your initial offer and work from there.  If he says no, that doesn't mean the deals over.  It's up to you to raise your offer or walk away.  Find out if the $19K is firm or if he's doing an "OBO" (or best offer).  It sounds like a good deal no matter what, but if you can make it better, why not?   :nixweiss:

Does it come with the extended transferable warranty? That alone is easily worth a grand. The red is my favorite of all the CVO bikes, the beauty and complexity of the paint jobs seemed to diminish after 2005. That bike was what almost 31k new? Look it over good, if you gotta have it, you gotta have it!

No they don't. Maybe a grand more and that has been falling fast. IMHO right now a 2004 will bring more money. I just happen to know that for a FACT!!!!!

I agree with the Dawg,  it doesn't make any difference if a bike is a 2004  or 2005 model, as long as you are comparing apples to apples, i.e. mileage, options. TourPak, and which color you prefer. They are both basically the same anyway, except the B&B ones are preferred over all the others by the riders with the best taste in SEEG's! :vrolijk_5: :vrolijk_5: :vrolijk_5:
