Auto turn signal cancel not working
« on: December 25, 2008, 06:30:54 PM »

I just noticed today that my turn signal cancellation is no longer working.  Does anyone know where the part is that controls this?  I'll take it to the dealer under warranty, but I'm just trying to figure out how much time they should need to get this done.  I'm assuming it's somewhere under the seat, but if it's inside the fairing, then I know to expect a delay.

The only thing that I have done to the bike since the last ride was add the LED run/stop lamp to the luggage rack...but that combo doesn't have any turn lamps involved.  Other than that, the last thing that was done prior to that was the SERT.  I only mention that because I saw somewhere in some old posts about changing ECM's affected turn signal cancelling.

1a,the ecm gets the speed signal from the speed sensor then sends it to every thing else, if your speedo, radio volume
and cruise control are working then it's probly your tssm. but still a small chance it could the ecm or wiring.

Speedo and radio volume control appear to be working okay.  Haven't tried the cruise.  What is a tssm?  Turn signal s____________  module?

I guess my turn signals auto cancel after all.  Apparently, they don't shut off until a 100 to 200 feet after a turn.  I guess I never noticed this on my last bike.

yes, the bank angle sensor now part of the tssm  will cut off the system relay if the bike is leaned more than 45
degree's. systems relay =ecm and fuel pump. (and radio)       axil

p.s. the flashing time has been figured by feet, number of flashs, time and lean. they change it so ofton and in
the middle of model years that no one can keep tract of it. hope this helps
